Why don't you show the GPS location on a map?

Because loading a map tile would send your coordinates to a third-party service (Google, OpenStreetMap, Mapbox), which contradicts the privacy promise. Instead we show latitude and longitude as plain text, and you can decide whether to copy them into a map elsewhere.
